What We Check During Your Exam:
Slit Lamp Binocular Microscopy (25x Zoom)
We inspect all the layers of the eyelid, lashes, and tear glands under high magnification; this helps us pinpoint the underlying cause quickly and accurately.
Eye Pressure Testing
Swelling or infection may elevate eye pressure and risk long-term damage. We include this to rule out complications like secondary glaucoma.
Dilated Eye Exam (if needed)
In rare but severe cases (e.g., shingles or uveitis), we may dilate the pupils to assess for retinal inflammation or deeper ocular involvement.
